I was a soldier in the Australian Army for 10 years. I have always considered fitness an important part of my life, though I often struggled to find consistency in my training. I discovered CrossFit in 2009 and since then have spent a lot of time researching and trialing various strength and conditioning principles. I have found that the CrossFit methodology best meets the needs of everyone from professional athletes to regular people who want life-long health. The constant variance of the program has kept me intrigued and wanting to train hard for years now. CrossFit really is for everyone.

My goal is to serve the Mitchelton community by offering high level strength and conditioning to all those who want it.

Sarah discovered CrossFit in 2012, and since then CrossFit has opened up opportunities to compete in both CrossFit and Powerlifting competitions. Through CrossFit, Sarah also coaches Australian 'Wallaroos' Rugby Union Players, soldiers and powerlifters. As well as being highly competitive and enthusiastic in seeing other athletes reach competitive levels, Sarah has also competed in Rugby Union on a national level, through her time serving with the Australia Army. Sarah has represented Australia on the World stage for Powerlifting 3 times earning 5th in the World 2016 and a Bronze Medal for squat at The Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships in Canada 2015.

Sarah's passion for CrossFit and competitive sports is a positive influence on the people she trains, and this shines through in her own determination, training and attitude.

I discovered CrossFit in 2012 when the gym opened next to my footy club of which I played 11 years of rugby league for. Immediately Phil and Lil saw how much interest there was from the players at the club so they started CrossFit kids at Mitchelton not long after and that’s when I found how passionate I was for the sport.

Working my way through kids, pre-teens, teens and finally transitioning into the adult classes which was the hardest step but also the most fulfilling. I strongly recommend CrossFit Mitchelton to anyone wanting to give CrossFit a go because it has changed my outlook on fitness and has given me a second family.

I was a semi/ professional rugby league player for the last 15 years of my life. Playing Queensland cup and professionally in France and have also been lucky enough to represent my Dad’s country the USA at two world cups! I discovered CrossFit in 2010 while visiting family in Colorado and since then felt it was the best and most adaptive form of strength and conditioning to the football field. I have found that the CrossFit methodology best meets the needs of everyone from professional athletes to regular people who want life-long health. The constant variance of the program has kept me intrigued and wanting to train hard for years now. CrossFit really is for everyone.

My goal is to coach other athletes like myself from there teen years till they have reached their sporting/ strength/ fitness and lifestyle potential!

Kate was a State level runner through high-school, and competed in races and triathlons in the years since. Trying her hand at many different sports, Kate found nothing as empowering, challenging, and rewarding as CrossFit. Her interests lie in community health education, and strength and conditioning.

I am a full time working mother of a family of 6, who “discovered” CrossFit in 2013. I am passionate about sharing my love of CrossFit with others to help them achieve a lifestyle that enables them to feel good about themselves, and to be fit, healthy and strong both physically and mentally. I am also an endurance trail runner, and really enjoy the balance of running and CrossFit, and how they supplement each other. 
I have been a serving Police Officer with QPS for over 20 years, and am currently in the planning cell for the Commonwealth Games 2018.  My husband and children also CrossFit, and I couldn’t imagine a life without CrossFit!

Michael got into Crossfit in 2016 when his brother began training at Crossfit Mitchelton. It wasn’t long after he started training and fell in love with the sport, the gym and the especially the people of which some became his closest friends.

Because of Michael's passion for coaching and teaching Michael completed a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer's Course whilst studying his Teaching Degree. Michael loves coaching and helping people to be the best versions of themselves that they can be.
